Robert and his family have been residents of the Oak Lawn community for just under 10 years and have learned to call it home. Robert Attended Catholic school (Saint Thaddeus and Holy Family grade schools) and later went on to Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox IL. Robert was a prep athlete and helped Providence capture 3 state championships in the mid 90's. My high school experience was a high light of my life and I wish to help todays youth to have the same. After Highschool Robert attended Millikin university and University of Dubuque.
After College Robert got his first job in Sales @ Cintas uniform Corp in 2001. Robert worked in the sales department for 3 years and earned the winners circle award (given to the top 5% of the company's salesmen). Robert left Cintas in pursuit of being a successful small business entrepreneur in the real estate investment industry. Currently Robert has been in business since 2014 and has been a part of over 350+ successful residential and commercial real estate projects as an investor, wholesaler, and contractor. Over that time his company was awarded as a member of the first look program focused on residential property stability caused from the 2008 stock market crash. Covid-19 has ravaged our economy and right now we need people in place to help navigate the financial challenges we will face moving forward and I have experienced that first hand in my life
Robert was diagnosed on June 14th @ 10:36pm 2011 with APL (Acut
e promyelocytic leukemia). The Cruz family moved to Oak Lawn in the winter of 2011, between chemotherapy, oral medications, and scheduled hospital visits for 4 years he was pronounced in remission in the winter of 2015. After remission Robert volunteered his time with Immerman Angels (a cancer survivor non for profit that supports patients by introducing them to survivors of that same diagnoses) and served on their professional board until the Covid-19 pandemic. Robert credits his survival to his faith, family, and friends
This community has been great to us and we look forward to serving this community in the future.
